Winespeak: The Ultimate Intro to Wine Class Saturday, July 11 | 4:00pm – 6:00pm The wine class for people who love wine… but are tired of pretending they understand what everybody else is talking about. Let’s be honest. Wine can feel ridiculous sometimes. One person says a wine is “restrained and mineral-driven.” Another calls it “a jammy fruit bomb with velvety tannins.” Somebody throws out a 94-point score. Somebody else swirls dramatically and claims to smell wet rocks, cedar boxes, or “forest floor after rain.” Meanwhile, you’re just sitting there wondering: “Am I supposed to taste that too?” Welcome to Winespeak — the class that finally makes wine make sense. Presented by sommelier Jason Kallsen, this wildly entertaining, eye-opening tasting experience strips away the intimidation, snobbery, and memorized nonsense that often surrounds wine. Instead of teaching you how somebody else tastes wine, Winespeak teaches you how YOU experience it — and why context, mood, music, food, environment, expectations, and even confidence can completely change what ends up in your glass. At the heart of the class is a guided tasting of six wines as you decode the essential language wine professionals actually use.
